Community Benefits

  • Around 120 new jobs would be created across the site in a variety of business and support services roles
  • Where the new buildings face on to Vauxhall Walk, Tinworth Street and the new Spring Mews, these would be animated by a range of proposed ground floor uses: hotel, community centre, retail, business space and student housing

  • The surrounding streets and new Mews will become a safer environment, benefitting from busy street level uses and overlooking from new residents and hotel guests above

  • We are working with Lambeth to implement some improvement works to the railway arch at Glasshouse Walk. This will enhance the access to Spring Mews by providing a safer and more welcoming feel

Vauxhall Gardens Community Centre

  • At the heart of the scheme will be new bespoke building for the Vauxhall Gardens Community Centre (VGCC). This will house the variety of arts, business, religious and social facilities that the community centre supports
  • The VGCC will be temporarily housed in 5 Glasshouse Walk for the duration of the construction of the new building. They will start to move out from their current building at the end of August
